The purpose of this research is to examine the challenges faced by learner and activities they undertake concerning informal digital learning English (IDLE) implementation in as foreign language (EFL) context. impact COVID-19 on education sector feels very challenging. Especially EFL at high/secondary school level, it crucial since skills are needed support such level students' more complex need. It leads many experts find formal model's best alternative: playing games IDLE. However, current indications showed various efforts implementing IDLE within an academic As part a extensive sequential qualitative mixed-method study, seven high students from Indonesia parts were interviewed. From findings, discovered that there still some regarding context: physical behavioural assumptions, dealing with growth effect misconception logical fallacy community; communal judgment, priori assumption 'gaming stereotype' which massively wide-spread; and, technical challenges, implemental availability contemporary model. also recommended finding solutions these requires parties' involvement. due fundamentals. expected involvement will make resulting be holistic solution.
